Eyjafjallajokull volcano eruption continues, but slower 26 Apr 10 -
However, it's still spewing out 22 to 44 tons of magma a second.

Eyjafjallajökull - What next ? 26 Apr 10
Put this volcano together with Chaitén, toss in a few more, and we have the makings of an ice age

Iceland volcano closes airspace over Northern Ireland - Again
5 May 10 -Scientists worry that Eyjafjallajökull could trigger an eruption at  nearby Katla volcano. But I wonder: Is it possible that, rather than being a trigger, Eyjafjallajökull is actually a precursor to a Katla eruption?

Is Katla beginning to act up?

6 May 10 - Yesterday I wondered if Eyjafjallajökull might be a precursor to an eruption at nearby Katla volcano.

Map from: http://en.vedur.is/earthquakes-and-volcanism/earthquakes/myrdalsjokull/

Lo and behold, the first sign of seismic activity may have occurred. I say may have occurred, because the website containing this map showed an earthquake beneath the massive Myrdalsjokull glacier yesterday.
Katla lies buried beneath the Myrdalsjokull glacier, which, with ice measuring 550 yards thick, is one of Iceland's largest.
A Katla eruption would be 10 times stronger and shoot higher and larger plumes of ash into the air than its smaller neighbor.
History has proven that when the Eyjafjallajokull (also called Eyjafjoll) volcano erupts, Katla also erupts — but no one can predict how soon, or how explosively.

If so, then bye bye 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season

Iceland volcano - Major Global Disaster in the Making By Gordon Gekko

10 May 10 - "It is likely that either the authorities are underestimating the potential for a far bigger eruption and subsequent devastation or ... simply hiding the facts from the public so as not to “rock the boat” i.e. keep the
sheeple calm and let them go about their slavery as usual. Virtually no steps
are being taken to inform/prepare the public if this eruption takes a turn for
the worse, and evidence seems to be increasing that it will.

Two, maybe three, quakes at Katla 21 May 10 -
If you look at the map you will see two, maybe three, quakes at Katla and a cluster of quakes at Eyjafjallajokull. Perhaps
the president of Iceland was right on the money when he sent a warning to Europe concerning Katla.

Uh-oh! Katla Volcano Just Rumbled 17 May 10 -

The Iceland Met office reports that a small earthquake has occurred at the Katla location. Although a single earthquake does not guarantee an eruption, it could be the first ’sigh’ of the awakening giant.

Historically, Katla has erupted after the eruption of its close neighbor, Eyjafjallajokull.

A Katla eruption would likely be about ten times as powerful at the Eyjafjallajokull eruption and could cause worldwide disruption while expelling huge volumes of volcanic ash into the stratosphere which could circle the globe potentially for years.
